PowerSchool Group Software Engineer interview experience

After about three rounds of interview, though, they suddenly told me I had to apply on their website for additional rounds.

What really threw me off was that they said they had mistaken my profile for a tech lead and therefore weren’t comfortable with my expected compensation. Negotiations then tried to pull the number down as much as possible, which made the earlier messaging feel misleading.

I didn’t end up getting an offer, and honestly the way the process reset after several rounds made me feel like my time wasn’t valued—so I walked away convinced it wasn’t worth continuing.
