I went through a three-round process that included an HR screen.

After I received an email from HR, I scheduled a first phone screen. In the technical round, I was interviewed by an employee and the tone felt negative from the start—he kept signaling that he didn’t think I was qualified for the role.

Even so, I was able to work through the problem and solve it with hints, but the result was still a rejection. The experience was uncomfortable because it wasn’t just about the difficulty of the technical task; it also felt like I was being judged early and then dragged through the rest of the process anyway.
