I went through an average-difficulty path that was consistent and step-by-step, ending with no offer after a virtual onsite sequence.

Applied online (via referral) — started with an application through a referral.
Non-technical recruiter screening — had a phone screen focused on basics rather than coding.
Virtual onsite: technical (40 minutes) — did a pair-programming session.
Virtual onsite: behavioral (25 minutes) — discussed experience, working style, and behavior.
Virtual onsite: Q&A (25 minutes) — a final question-and-answer conversation. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and the process felt organized but still ended without a positive result.
