I interviewed for a Software Engineer role in early July 2022 with an average difficulty, progressing from recruiter chats into engineering overlap and then a pair programming exercise.

Recruiter culture-fit chat — I first spoke with the internal recruiter, focused on culture fit.
Engineer chat (culture + technical overlap) — Next, I talked with engineers to assess culture and broad technical compatibility.
Pair programming technical exercise — Finally, I completed a pair programming exercise. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway is that the process emphasized alignment before deeper technical work.
