Negative

My first interaction with the interviewer was extremely unprofessional, which made the overall process feel negative from the outset.

Initial interview — the interviewer had their phone on during the call and even took another call mid-interview; they missed the scheduled start and justified it by saying candidates should be flexible.
Confusing follow-up — I later received a message indicating the position was filled, followed about a week later by an email from someone else saying it was still open. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; takeaway was that lack of professionalism and inconsistent updates damaged trust immediately.
