Company policy for the process included coming in to present a PowerPoint to the management team about my background.

Before the presentation day, my discussions felt open and positive.

On the day of the presentation, I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t look my best. HR said they provide feedback to candidates about how it went, but that didn’t happen for me. The only signal I got came indirectly through the recruiter, who said they disliked that I looked “tired,” even though I was coming off surgery.

After that, the impression I was left with was that the group could come across as arrogant. No offer came out of the process.
