Los Angeles, CAPosted Nov 2017 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I started with a call from a hiring manager who asked me Java Spring questions, and I managed to answer everything he asked.

After that, he sent me a Java coding program to complete within a day or so, and I treated it like a real submission—running it locally, testing scenarios, and making sure the output matched the requirements as I understood them.

I ran into a subtle interpretation issue: one requirement seemed like it expected a different level of aggregation in the printed output than what I produced. I emailed back to explain how I handled it and noted that I could adjust it if needed, but I left the logic as-is given the time and the way the expected output was described.
