Los Angeles, CAPosted Jul 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had an initial interview with a recruiter that felt encouraging and genuinely positive.

They told me they would follow up, and the conversation didn’t leave me with any worry.

But weeks went by—about six—and then it turned into silence. I ended up being ghosted, which was honestly disappointing, especially because the company was highly regarded and I had expected a more respectful process.

That was the hardest part to process: the early momentum disappeared without explanation. The outcome wasn’t just an absence of an offer; it was the feeling of being left hanging after I had already invested time.
