My recruiter screen was over so fast that it was hard to tell whether I’d done well or not.

It felt like there wasn’t much room to build context, and she didn’t ask any follow-up questions at all.

Because of that, I couldn’t figure out what she was actually assessing. Without any probing or clarification, the call didn’t give me much feedback, and it left me guessing about how they were interpreting my answers.

I didn’t end up getting an offer. The main thing that stuck with me was the uncertainty—after such a quick, one-pass screen, I never really got a clear sense of what would have made me stand out or where I might have fallen short.
