Pinterest Backend Engineer interview experience

It started with a phone screen, then moved into two coding interviews. After that, I went through an architecture round and a manager interview. Most of what I saw across the rounds was LeetCode-style content.

I came out of the interviews thinking they went well—I even got indications like a “lean hire” signal on all of them. Still, the final result didn’t go my way because there was only one position and someone else had better performance. It was disappointing, but at least the conversations themselves felt structured and respectful, and I didn’t feel like I was being judged out of nowhere.
