Denver, COPosted Jul 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for this role through a clear progression: a screening call, webcam-on assessments, an AWS infrastructure take-home, then in-person AWS-focused interviews.

Phone screen with hiring manager — After a technical recruiter reached out, a hiring manager phone screen focused on fit and weed-out signals.
At-home assessments (camera on) — I completed online IQ and behavioral tests with my webcam on.
Home-based AWS infrastructure assignment — I was given a task to set up infrastructure in AWS.
In-person interviews — I met with team members and then the manager, and we discussed the AWS work I’d done. Outcome: Offer made after the in-person round, and my takeaway was that hands-on cloud work carried a lot of weight.
