My interview felt fair and fairly grounded in testing fundamentals.

I was asked a handful of questions around test cases and platform-oriented thinking, with software testing details coming up alongside Java programming.

A big part of the conversation was tying my previous project experience to what I was saying. I had to explain my background in depth and walk through how that experience could translate into new work. I left feeling like the interviewer was genuinely focused on whether I could connect testing concepts to real situations rather than just name definitions.
