Phonepe Software Engineer interview experience

The interview process itself felt streamlined, but it was also frustrating because the IDE they provided was buggy—my test closed automatically.

That technical hiccup was the biggest thing that impacted the experience, more than any single algorithm problem. It made the whole round feel risky since I couldn’t fully rely on the environment to keep my work intact.

I didn’t receive an offer. Honestly, even though the problem difficulty was in-range, the tooling issue left me feeling like the outcome didn’t reflect only my coding ability.
