Phonepe Software Engineer interview experience

I was given a problem statement and had to propose an end-to-end design using industry practices, making sure I covered every stated requirement.

What mattered most was that the design be scalable and extendable, not just something that worked in the immediate moment. The difficulty felt average in general, but this round demanded more structure and completeness than the coding questions I’d done earlier. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the experience was still useful because the design scope forced me to think in a more system-level way instead of focusing only on algorithms.
