The interview started with a focus on me—my introduction wasn’t the full story, but they quickly moved into questions about the details of my projects and my previous internship experiences from my resume.

After that, I was given a medium-level DSA problem.

What stood out was that they didn’t just want an answer; they wanted a clear explanation of my approach and how I arrived at the solution. The DSA part was still central, but the way they asked for reasoning made the process feel more like assessing problem-solving communication than just coding speed.

Even with the medium-level technical piece, the overall outcome was rejection. I walked away feeling like my ability to explain my thinking mattered as much as solving the actual problem.
