For PhonePe, my interview felt relatively manageable compared to the very hard DSA stories—overall it was described as average difficulty and it came across as easier to do well in.

The focus was on my resume, SQL, a case-study, and puzzles, and they expected me to hold coherent conversations through those topics.

The HR part was pretty important. They asked basic HR-style questions and seemed to want answers that connected back to my internships and projects. There were also questions that felt like they’d be searchable online, but they still probed for genuine understanding of my experience.

I did receive an offer. What I remember most is how much the process rewarded being spontaneous and ready to discuss details from my background rather than only performing well
