Petrofac Software Engineer interview experience

Since I was in a civil engineering lane, the questions were framed around civil topics, and they seemed to focus on whatever area I talked about the most. The format was online, and I remember answering in a way that matched the subject they kept returning to.

Even though the conversation flowed, I didn’t get hired. The reason felt vague—like it was obvious based on how the discussion went rather than something explicitly explained afterward.

Overall, it was comfortable, but the result wasn’t there, and I left thinking that my answers probably weren’t the right match for what they needed.
