I had an interview that moved at a surprisingly rapid pace.

I spoke with the GM in a casual conversation, and the tone was very eager—so much so that they offered the job immediately instead of dragging it out. They discussed pay at the time and the discussion felt more like a quick confirmation than a high-stakes evaluation.

Animal-related comfort and knowledge came up, but it stayed conversational rather than intense. I remember the overall feel being straightforward and easy to get through, and I appreciated that there was only one real interview before the hire decision.

They extended the offer on the spot, and I ended up not just getting good
