Pittsburgh, PAPosted Feb 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The part that stuck with me wasn’t any single question—it was the sheer friction of the process.

I just wanted to find out compensation, but I got pulled into a lot of steps that felt disconnected from that goal. It made the whole thing seem pointless and exhausting.

At the time, it felt like I was being forced through a workflow instead of having a simple conversation. I remember thinking that I’d rather just exchange emails than deal with what the process required. I didn’t end up making progress from there, and the main reflection I left with was that the process itself was what ruined the experience, not whether I could answer any questions.
