Petco Account Executive interview experience

I was very qualified on paper because I had extensive hands-on animal experience, including tough shelter work and time on a ranch. The conversation clicked in a way that felt genuine—we even laughed about shared struggles from workplaces.

The manager said they’d call later and asked me to keep my phone ready, but the call never came. Instead, I received a rejection message about a day later, which honestly felt heartbreaking because the interaction itself had seemed so promising.

Even though the interview felt like it went well, the result didn’t match the rapport I thought we built.
