Perkins & Will UX/UI Designer interview experience

Negative

New York, NYPosted Feb 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview started with a small-but-jarring mismatch in expectations: the interviewers turned off their cameras, while I had to keep mine on.

It felt unfair and disrespectful, and I’d never experienced that kind of imbalance before.

The rest of the conversation never really had a chance to feel smooth after that. Even if the role could’ve been a fit, the whole dynamic put me off immediately, and it changed how I experienced everything that followed. I didn’t come away with a positive impression of how they treat people during the hiring process.
