Blacksburg, VAPosted Jun 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview was a single technical round, and it was surprisingly light on format—there was no coding and no behavioral segment.

The discussion was oral and focused on the technologies I had listed, mainly Java, Linux, and cloud computing.

Rather than asking me to solve a problem live, they had me walk through how I’d used those tools and concepts in the past. The whole thing felt like a check for understanding and practical familiarity more than a test of algorithms.

I left the conversation thinking the bar was about communicating my experience clearly across that stack, and the lack of coding meant it never turned into a timed problem. It felt doable, but still technical enough to be meaningful.
