PayPal Data Scientist interview experience

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I ended up receiving a verbal offer from PayPal for a T24 role.

The compensation was broken down into a fixed component, stocks, and a variable portion.

The offer details I heard were pretty concrete: fixed pay around 29 LPA, stocks valued at roughly 30k USD with vesting scheduled over three years equally, and a variable component around 10%. At the time, the overall package sounded like a mix of stable base with meaningful long-term equity.

Since this was explicitly tied to an offer, the experience in my timeline ended on a positive note. What stood out most was how tangible the numbers were—once I got to this stage, it felt like everything came down
