Los Angeles, CAPosted Mar 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I ran into a frustrating communication breakdown on my AE interview trail—after multiple rounds, I received silence instead of feedback.

Recruiter/HR phone screens — I connected with recruiters early and felt the process was moving, but they didn’t provide meaningful follow-up once I advanced.
Manager and team member interviews (Zoom) — I spoke with people later in the process and left expecting a decision.
No response after follow-ups — After sending messages and leaving voicemails, I received no updates at all.

Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the takeaway was that even if a decision is bad news, candidates still deserve timely communication.
