PACCAR Software Engineer interview experience

After that, about a week or two later, I had a Teams call with the team that ended up managing me during an internship.

The tone was very easy and fairly lightweight. Most of what I talked about was my background as an engineering student and any relevant experience I’d already had. There wasn’t a lot of deep technical questioning—just a conversation to understand how my experiences lined up with what the team needed.

I didn’t get an offer, but it didn’t feel stressful. It was the kind of process where the main goal was fit and familiarity, and I walked away feeling like I’d been understood.
