PACCAR Software Engineer interview experience

I talked through items like repairs and maintenance, which was different from the typical “tell me about your project” style and made me feel like they were checking practical engineering reasoning.

The interview itself was one Zoom round, and the whole process felt easy overall. I remember thinking it would be simpler to prepare because so much of it leaned on classic behavioral questions and STAR-style storytelling.

I didn’t receive an offer, but the experience felt manageable and not hostile—more like a check on how I’d operate in the role day to day.
