OTIS Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Easy

Negative

PuteauxPosted Sep 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a very negative experience that hinged more on how the process was handled than on the technical side.

They gave me positive feedback orally, but the written result was negative.

What really threw me off was that they asked me to relocate and travel a huge distance, more than 600 kilometers, to go through multiple interviews over three weeks rather than having everything in a single day. The whole thing felt unprofessional from start to finish.

I didn’t receive an offer. The hardest part wasn’t rejection—it was feeling that I had to spend time and money for an experience that didn’t reflect basic professionalism.
