Sacramento, CAPosted Jun 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I ran into a frustrating scheduling and compensation issue during the early stages of my interview process.

Brief phone interview + verbal invite — the call went well and I was verbally told to expect an email invitation to a group interview.
HR wage disclosure complication — during the same call, HR disclosed a starting wage that was about a dollar under California’s minimum wage; my concern shifted the HR rep’s tone.
No-show email + follow-up — I never received the email invitation and had to follow up for correction. Outcome: I wasn’t offered the role; the takeaway was that wage clarity and responsiveness became red flags early on.
