OpenAI Software Engineer interview experience

It began with an initial phone screening, then I went through two technical interviews, and after that there was a final day with three interviews. That final day had multiple people, and it felt like a proper “day of evaluation” rather than scattered check-ins.

The overall vibe was professional, and while I don’t remember every prompt in detail, the content was clearly technical throughout and aligned with the role. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the experience felt well-run and organized, which made the whole thing less stressful than it could’ve been.
