OpenAI Software Engineer interview experience

During one of the interviews, the interviewer came across as arrogant and repeatedly interrupted me.

It didn’t feel like a normal back-and-forth technical discussion. Instead, I had to fight for space to finish my thoughts while trying to stay composed, which made it harder to perform naturally.

I didn’t receive an offer. My takeaway was that the technical part mattered, but the interpersonal dynamic mattered too—and if you can’t manage an ego-heavy interview style, it can work against you.
