I was approached on LinkedIn with an interview request, and I actually rearranged my schedule to make myself available.

The process felt on track until the day of the interview when everything flipped—just five minutes before the call, it was canceled because my profile didn’t match the role.

What bothered me most was that the organization was the one that initiated the outreach and set the process in motion. Once they canceled that close to the scheduled time, I felt like the method didn’t make sense and that I’d been pulled into something that wasn’t really validated.

I never got to interview, and there was no offer. The whole thing left a very negative impression for me because the timing felt careless.
