My first interview was mainly experience-based and felt tailored to the role, with questions that touched on ML optimization.

The interviewer was polite, and the tone stayed comfortable.

What threw me off was that the job description on the job board didn’t give a great picture of what the role would actually involve. Because of that gap, I remember having a couple of questions that really should’ve been clarified earlier, and I ended up addressing them during the interview.

I didn’t get an offer, and my honest reflection was that my performance might have depended a lot on how I filled in the missing context that the posting didn’t provide.
