Positive

I had an in-person first conversation where we went through my CV and my motivation for the role, then they asked basic knowledge questions—networking topics came up in particular.

The problem was that my answers showed gaps, and instead of pushing forward, they told me to review those topics and come back later.

I took that feedback seriously, but the process didn’t move further because I ended up getting another offer elsewhere in the meantime. So even though the first interview felt like it was trying to be fair and accurate about my baseline knowledge, I didn’t continue with their recruiting path.

It wasn’t a dramatic rejection, but it still meant the process ended quickly on their side. Overall, I remember it as a competence check with a clear “not yet” moment
