My first round was a concise phone call, and it immediately felt off.

The interviewer seemed unengaged and didn’t come across as eager to be there, which made the conversation feel less substantial than I expected. They asked a few technical questions, but they weren’t deep enough to feel like a real assessment.

Overall, the round felt more like a quick screening than a true evaluation, and it left me questioning whether they were fully investing in understanding my background. I didn’t move forward to an offer, and honestly the thing that lingered was the lack of engagement more than the questions themselves.
