My first phone interview didn’t feel like a typical “start easy” screen.

I got asked very personal questions, including what my parents did for work, and it made the conversation feel more intrusive than I expected for an early round.

They also had me take three assessments before I could move on to a second interview. I found the extra step jarring because I still wasn’t sure I was the right fit for what the role was really about, and doing that much before any deeper clarity made the process feel heavier than it needed to be.
