Northwestern Mutual Financial Analyst interview experience

The overall setup was fairly direct, and at least at first they seemed like they might acknowledge challenges.

But the balance kept tipping toward the positive. Instead of focusing on the downsides, the meetings turned into a “this is better than the competitors” message with a lot of emphasis on why they were the right choice.

Even though the conversations didn’t feel difficult, the way the information was framed left me with mixed feelings. I didn’t end up continuing far enough to get an offer, largely because the emphasis didn’t match what I thought I’d hear about the tradeoffs.
