Northwestern Mutual Financial Analyst interview experience

There wasn’t much emphasis on technical skills, because the role came across as sales-focused and tied to calling people and bringing in clients. The people I interacted with were very nice, and they seemed genuine about what the job would actually involve.

They still had a few rounds, but the content felt very similar across them—more like they were measuring interest and gauging whether I could genuinely see myself doing cold outreach and building a client base. What surprised me was how consistent the focus stayed on motivation and fit rather than any finance-specific problem solving.
