San Francisco, CAPosted Sep 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My first stage involved hackathon-style work, and it ended up being lengthy because there were multiple hackathons.

After those, I moved to a recruiter round and then additional interviews with a manager and senior leads on another day.

In the interviews, they asked system design questions and also did coding that included debugging and some OS-level coding involving threads. The process felt extensive overall, and the time commitment was heavy enough that I eventually didn’t finish everything they had planned.

I didn’t receive an offer, and what stayed with me most was how large the hackathon component was in the overall schedule compared to how far I got before stepping out.
