Los Angeles, CAPosted Oct 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

After a recruiter call, I took an online assessment.

The task was to build a client-server application using exactly specified libraries and a particular concurrency model. The requirements were strict enough that if I didn’t complete the challenge at the stated bar, I wouldn’t be considered for the later rounds. It felt less like a casual coding exercise and more like a gate that forced everything into a very particular shape, and the whole format was pretty intimidating.
