My process kicked off with a conversation with a data science recruiter and then a director.

After that, I had a technical interview directly with the director and a staff data scientist, so it felt pretty hands-on from the start. There was also a group call with members of the team, which gave me a sense of how the team interacted and how they talked about day-to-day work.

The sequence continued upward as well—I ended up meeting with the director’s boss too. Overall it felt like a full, structured set of conversations across multiple layers: recruiter, leadership, technical discussion, then a broader team touchpoint before finishing with the next level. I didn’t receive an offer
