The first part of my interview process started strong: I did three Zoom interviews, and things felt like they were going well.

Then the experience shifted at the end into a challenge round that included a mock sales call. That final step was fumbled for me because it used a new system and I was the first person going through it.

I could feel that the process itself was good in concept, but the logistics and tooling in the challenge round threw me off at the worst moment. It wasn’t that I couldn’t speak or roleplay—I just wasn’t able to perform in the way I would’ve if the system had been familiar or the setup had been smoother.

I didn’t get the position, and honestly what I remember most is how the process went
