My experience started normally enough: I interviewed, answered questions confidently, and felt like I performed well.

HR interaction during the process didn’t stand out as either great or terrible, and the rest of the interactions gave me no warning that things would turn.

After the interview, HR called me to accuse me of using an AI bot to cheat. I pushed back and asked to clarify things face-to-face, but HR said they would check with the interviewer and get back to me. Later, I received a follow-up call where the reason had changed—this time I was told the interviewer confirmed I lacked technical skills and wasn’t suitable for the role. It really upset me to hear two completely different explanations.
