My interview felt fairly smooth overall, but it had a specific bias in how it was evaluated.

The interviewer seemed much more interested in whether I could land the quick solution than in walking through a careful approach.

I had the impression they had a particular method in mind and wanted me to match it, and that changed the way the technical conversation played out. Even though it wasn’t hostile or chaotic, it was hard not to feel that the focus wasn’t on reasoning as much as speed and alignment with their expected answer.
