My process started with a short recruiter-style call where the questions felt pretty straightforward.

I talked through my previous experience and the technologies I’d worked with, and we went over my strengths and weaknesses. The conversation also included what I knew about MicroStrategy and its products, which caught me slightly off guard because it wasn’t only role-focused.

Overall it felt like an easy-to-manage first step, and the tone was conversational rather than stressful. Even though it was brief, I left feeling like they were checking both my baseline fit and whether I’d bothered to learn what the company actually does.
