Michelin Software Engineer interview experience

Pune, IndiaCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process was mostly virtual at the beginning, with two coding rounds before anything face-to-face.

In the first virtual round, I worked on an adjacency matrix connected components problem. The second round was another grid-based coding challenge where I had to solve a word search game in all eight directions.

After those two rounds, a face-to-face step was scheduled, but I didn’t get beyond that point in what I experienced. Even though I didn’t see the full onsite portion, the early difficulty was very clearly coding-focused rather than behavioral, and the pattern felt like they were filtering for problem-solving ability first.
