I applied through MetLife’s online application and then got a Skype interview.

Honestly, it felt pretty basic and generic. The interviewer spent most of the time talking about what the company is about, like the conversation was meant to frame the role before diving into anything more specific.

Only after that did I get a single question that was related to what they’d just been saying. The whole exchange didn’t really feel like a deep technical screen, and it left me with the sense that it was more of a high-level fit check than a skills assessment.

Overall, it didn’t feel very demanding, and the minimal technical depth was the biggest surprise for me.
