My experience started with an unexpected recruiter call that came from an outsourced HR contact.

She left a voicemail, and when I tried to line up a scheduled call, she ended up ghosting me and then resurfaced with a story that didn’t add up.

On the phone, the interaction felt highly unprofessional and it left me with a strong sense I wasn’t wanted. The tone from HR felt negative and personal, and it made me wonder if how I fit on paper mattered less than how they perceived me. I didn’t feel treated like a normal applicant throughout the process, and that colored how I interpreted everything that followed.
