MetLife Software Engineer interview experience

It was basically a HackerRank-style problem that aligned with an easy-to-medium algorithmic question, nothing that felt totally out of left field. The key detail for me was that it was completed asynchronously—the interviewer graded it automatically.

Because it was relatively contained and well-defined, it didn’t feel like a chaotic screen. It was more of a fast signal of whether my fundamentals were in place, and it gave me something concrete to focus on rather than vague questions.
