MDA Software Engineer interview experience

Negative

Montreal, QCPosted Jun 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I only made it to the recruiter stage, but it was already clear this might not be a fit on constraints.

They expected 4+ years of experience, and the conversation ended up focusing on compensation more than my background.

They told me my salary expectations were too high and pointed to a budget range that was below what I would need, even considering my experience level. It left me with a very unpleasant impression because it felt like the mismatch was treated as a negotiation issue rather than a role fit conversation.

I didn’t get an offer, and I was left feeling skeptical about the process. The experience created a negative taste immediately.
