MDA Systems Engineer interview experience

No offer

Easy

Negative

Toronto, ONPosted Apr 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My experience with MDA felt unusually disorganized.

I went into it expecting a fairly normal interview flow, but the overall process came across as biased, and the questions didn’t map well to the role I was interviewing for. Culture-wise, it didn’t feel particularly strong or compelling.

One specific thing that really bothered me was how they handled background checking. They requested a background check before they even invited me for an interview, which made the sequence feel backwards to me—like they wanted to gatekeep rather than evaluate fit first.

I didn’t end up getting an offer, and the whole thing left me with a negative impression
